Hell, many things that impact ur life are probably running on MS software. Pc gaming exists due to Microsoft, those games u enjoy on ur steam are due to MS os and their technologies. Lol if you think devs will be using vulcan on an xbox one.Īs for the telemetry, it is used to detect crashes and bugs, not your hentai collection or ur illegal activity but if you are that paranoid, you can use spybot antibeacon. xbox one X is able to extract out full power from its GPU due to the low level access of DirectX12 APIs and most play anywhere games are already DirectX12. Name the games using vulcan vs Directx12. LOL if you think vulcan is better than DirectX12. I would really like to see how long your windows 7 hardware will last.no new hardware for you. Promise me one thing, and promise yourself that you will NEVER EVER EVER use windows 10. People on windows 7 have no excuse to not is still free using the windows 10 media creation tool. And guess who will fill out that vacuum? It will be Google, so decide who would u rather decide the future of computing, and gaming Microsoft or Google? Cause it sure as hell wont be steam.with their steam os, lol So windows 7 users by simply using the outdated os that will lose security support soon, are basically hindering progress with DirectX, UWP, and jeopardizing the future of windows as a platform to compete. This is one of the reasons AOE is MS store exclusive.up until other storefronts including steam will accept UWP appx formats, which they are slow to do because of win 7 users.Īlso, without development moving completely to UWP, windows will die, simple as that, it needs to evolve on other form factors especially Mixed Reality as that will be the future of computing. So win 7 gamers and steam are responsible for lack of more DirectX 12 games that can be run on any architecture. Since DirectX12 is win 10 only, this leads to slower adoption of the new features of the API. Since there is still so many gamers on win 7, Steam refuses to add UWP distribution to its infrastructure.so game developers end up having to create and maintain two separate versions in order to appease steam and its cult of win 7 users. Whenever a developer trying to create new UWP, they look at the userbase first, like Spotify for example, they chose to create a win32 app that could be available to windows 7 customers, and are holding off on UWP until a few years, cause they don't want to have to maintain two separate versions. Game and App development cannot fully move on to UWP. Since there is a huge chunk of windows 7 users, the developers still need to target that os. not use win10 for anything other than AoE turn off Fast boot in win10, set default windows to win7, now you can dual boot win7 and win10 on the same disk, a.k.a. Uninstall the windows.old(look guide online) Boot into win10 when its done upgrading and update you win10 until its at least version 1609(?) (you will know when you will have the sufficient version by being able to open the buy button in microsoft store for AoE:DE and not getting the popup that it does not exist) Put the win10 disk/usb/mount and run it from the new windows, chose the upgrade option II) -Install a new copy of win7 on the new partition you can run diskmgmt.msc(from the search bar in windows menu) if that doesn't work due to "unmovable" files try using MiniTool Partition Wizard If you don't already have two create a new partition I) To have both win7 and win10 on the same pc you must double install windows7 and then upgrade one to win 10, the reason for this is that Win10 refuses to be installed on a disk that uses MBR, and windows 7 cant boot from GPT, however you can upgrade to win 10 and keep the MBR format. II) a win7 and win10 copy, and a USB(at least 5 GB) or 1 DvD that you can put the win7 copy on You will need: I) at least 55 GB of free space that can be converted into a separate partition In this guide: How to keep win7 and still play this classic Like many other people im not a huge fan of win10, rather i keep myself to win7 with almost religious vigor, there for im creating this guide for like minded people.
